By registering with Mediband, you can upload your medical information onto the QR code that will go one the wrist band. This includes medical conditons, proceedures for some condtions, allergies, medication and next of kin. In accordance with the appropiate data protection laws, this information is completly confidential, and cannot be accessed by any unathorised party.

The Mediband itself is a silicone band with a QR code fitted onto it. Its duraqble, lightweight and may be used as a fashion accessory. In the event of a medical emergency, anyone with a smart phone in conjunction can scan the code and retreive the vital information the user has on the Mediband website. The result is that anyone trying to help the indivdual can do so with the proper information required, as well as helping emergency services identify a cause and cure faster.
